Amy Fillingham created Kids Own Physio to be able to offer gold standard care without limitations. Amy specialised as a Paediatric Physiotherapist and has had 18 years’ experience working in both the NHS and private sector working with a wide variety of complex conditions affecting children and young adults.
Amy lives with her family in Lincolnshire raising her two young children. Amy is passionate about working with children and young adults, tailoring therapy to individual needs and interests.
Amy graduated from Teesside University as a Physiotherapist in 2006 with BSc (Hons), and actively keeps up to date with further training whilst maintaining competencies to provide up to date therapy. Recent training includes Cerebral Palsy Integrated Pathway, Bobath training, Neurological therapies, Functional Electric Stimulation (FES), Spinal Cord Injury- Specialist Rehabilitation, Paediatric Hydrotherapy handling for Neurological patients, Neurological Gait analysis with Orthotics focus.
Amy has a full up to date DBS, is a member of Health Professionals Council, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists.
A thorough assessment in your own home. Talking through past medical history, your and your child’s concerns and setting goals. A physical assessment is required to identify treatment needed and an assessment report will be provided.
After the Initial Assessment, Treatment sessions are uniquely designed for your child’s individual needs. Treatment approach and location will be discussed and agreed with you prior to sessions starting.
